Tami E. Gesiskie, a longtime human resources executive who spent more than three decades with defense contractor Leonardo DRS Inc., died Sunday, June 21, 2026. She was a resident of Arlington, Virginia. No cause of death was released.

Gesiskie served as senior vice president of human resources at Leonardo DRS, where she worked for approximately 35 years, beginning in 1993 following the company’s acquisition of Technology Applications & Service Company (TASCO). She was promoted to senior vice president in 2016 and remained in that role until her death.

In her executive position, Gesiskie oversaw enterprise-wide human resources operations, including workforce planning, labor relations, talent acquisition strategy, and organizational development across the company’s business units. Colleagues described her as a long-serving leader who guided personnel strategy through periods of corporate restructuring and growth.

Leonardo DRS, a U.S.-based defense technology company, confirmed her death and acknowledged her decades of service in a statement. The company did not provide additional details.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Gesiskie earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in education and counseling from Duquesne University. Early in her career, she was involved in community service work in the Pittsburgh area, including programs associated with the Urban League of Pittsburgh focused on housing and social support services.

Her career in human resources spanned more than three decades at Leonardo DRS, where she advanced through multiple leadership roles before her appointment to the company’s senior executive team.

Survivors include family members, whose names were not fully disclosed.

Memorial arrangements were not immediately announced.
