Born and raised in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest, Dr. Tolmos developed a profound connection to the natural world from an early age. Dr. Tolmos pursued studies in forest sciences in Peru before continuing her academic journey in Germany, where she earned both a master’s degree and a PhD in forest ecology.
